Our grandpa ☺ Blackie already did so much for us. Dad bought him as a foal for the 10 years wedding anniversary for our mom. He started his career with our mother until he got 10 years old. Then he became the junior horse of Suraya. They started their junior career very good with immediately scores around 70% but then he needed to have a very heavy colic surgery… therefor Blackie was out of the sport for more than 6 months. Luckily he is very strong and recovered well. Together with Suraya he took home 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal at the Belgian championships in the young rider classe and U25 grand prix. 

We can say it’s a very special horse. Not only because he is already in our family for 17years but also because he is that strong. He really struggled with health conditions such as colic surgery, astma, problems with his lungs and digestive system but he always did his very best and competed successfully at national and international level. Now he is in a well – deserved retirement.
